Executive Team

Jean-Marc Lieberherr – Chief Executive Officer

Jean-Marc joined Rio Tinto’s Diamond division in September 2005 after 15 years in international sales and marketing positions with LVMH and Unilever. He was appointed Managing Director of Rio Tinto Diamonds in 2013, with full responsibility for all activities, from mining to marketing. While in this position, Jean-Marc served on the Board of the World Diamond Council and was elected the first Chairman of the Diamond Producers Association. In February 2016, Jean-Marc has joined the DPA as its full time Chief Executive Officer.

Deborah Marquardt – Chief Marketing Officer

Deborah Marquardt is a strategic marketing leader with extensive experience in beauty and luxury, as well as the entertainment, media and digital categories. She joined DPA in 2016, prior to which she held senior marketing communications roles with leading global companies including L’Oreal USA, Time Inc, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  Marquardt leads all U.S. activities for the DPA, with a focus on integrated marketing and media initiatives.  She and her team work closely with the U.S. diamond and jewelry trade, as well as the media, to promote the diamond category with U.S. consumers.

Richa Singh – Managing Director, India

Richa Singh is an entrepreneur at heart with a career spanning 19 years building brands from scratch. She has extensive experience across consumer, b2b and luxury segments, starting her career at JWT and then the last 14 years at L’Oreal, where she held senior marketing roles and then headed the business. This experience has helped Richa, to hone her skills in insight mining, deeper consumer understanding & her knowledge of all the channels to connect with them. Her marketing acumen will be a great asset in helping build the diamond category amongst the diverse consumer base in India.

Mabel Wong McCormick – Managing Director, Greater China

Mabel joined DPA in March 2018 after her 17 years working and living in Shanghai, China. Mabel has held senior positions with the responsibility for Greater China as Marketing Director and Managing Director in international companies such as LVMH. She also has experience setting up operations in China for companies such as ?What If!, a UK-based innovation consulting company, and LVMH Wines & Spirits division. Mabel is well-versed into modern marketing channels and techniques, and has strong experience managing trade channels and working with trade partners, which makes her experience highly relevant to the mission of the DPA in China.
